About

Built by a streamer,
for streamers.

One person in the Netherlands has been building things for Twitch since 2023. In 2024 that turned into StreamWizard.

It started with channel points.

Chat spawned the creepers. It went downhill from there.

In 2023 this was a Minecraft integration for coenmeteenc. Viewers spent channel points on natural disasters and mob spawns, and the streamer dealt with the consequences. After that came a simple IRL overlay for xPudu: speed, distance and weather at the bottom of the stream. One guy behind the scenes who would rather build the tool than be on camera.

StreamWizard itself started with a clip. Someone in the Discord call said remember that clip, and two hours later nobody had found it. So clip filters and folders became the first feature. The same friends now file their clips into folders and post them as Shorts, TikToks and Reels.

The work happens where you can see it.

Open source, no stealth mode.

git log --oneline

Illustrative. The real log is longer and less flattering.

The code is on GitHub under an MIT license. Anyone can read it, fork it or fix it.

Bugs usually get found by streamers before they get found by tests. Most of that happens in the Discord, where the person answering is the person who wrote the bug.

How it gets built.

Three rules that survived contact with production.

IRL first.

Cloud OBS is aimed at the street. The deck on your phone runs it, and when the connection dies the auto switcher holds the stream instead of ending it.

Your data is not the product.

Analytics are cookieless by default. The banner asks before anything else gets switched on.

Small fixes, shipped fast.

Bug reports get picked up while they are still fresh. No ticket portal, no tiers.

The goal

Streamer tools for everyone, maintained by the community.

The goal is a full set of streamer tools that anyone can use. Most of it free. The parts that burn server money, like cloud OBS, cost money. That is the whole pricing model.

Open source is the other half. StreamWizard is for the streamer community, built and maintained by that community. Anyone can open an issue, ship a fix or build the widget they are missing. No big company. Streamers building for streamers.
